Mystic, CT
New pictures will eventually be uploaded about our visit to Mystic, ct. Cold day – Erica and I were a little surprised to find out that the aquarium was . . .mostly outside, like a zoo.
Jacob, at 17 months, is at an age to appreciate the aquarium to an extent (like 15 minutes at a time). Running toward the tanks, the tanks going low enough so he could peer in. ..was a lot of fun. The total cuteness was Jacob saying “bye bye” to tanks as we left “say bye bye to the Sharks”
As normal, we finished our day with a trip to captain Daniel Packer Inne (http://bit.ly/eNQz80). Jacob entertained quite a few people in the restraunt (Jacob was in high spirits, laughing, waving, catching the attention of the fellow travelers). So much energy used that he was out within minutes once we were in the car, and slept until we were about 5 minutes from home. Overall, a good day!
Jacob in March 2011
I would like to say I’ll be better about updating. .. but who knows. I can try.
March 2011. Jacob is walking, tentative cute baby steps that are a little uneasy. A decent amount of falling, but nothing that has been too painful so far.
Cutest thing
Not so cute

Jacob at One Year
Jacob is one year old. Doctor visited showed Jacob at 45% percentile Height, and 80% on weight. Though the doctor was not conerned about weight, they did mention 16oz a milk a day. This will be a slight “pull back” for the little guy on Milk consumption.
Otherwise, he did fine. The best part was that he took all shots and pricks like a little trooper. Only cried at one of the “painful” shots (1 out of 2 shots, 1 finger prick).
Lots of pictures from Mystic Conneticut
We spent this weekend at vineyards AND dinner in Mystic. Though Jacob slept a lot, he was at his best in the restaurant. Smilling, happy, entertained.
He is going a little nuts with the crawling thing at home. We need to prepare more of a “play area” for him. Right now we don’t have any “area” for him to go crazy in. . .which is an issue.
Thursday
Thursday marked a milestone for Jacob. It was on thursday that Jacob grabbed a piece of food and got it to his mouth. The jury is still out on if the food stayed in his mouth.
Dinner was uneventful (shell re-runs). I’m addicted to starcraft 2 (and my wife swears Jacob won’t be a gamer a battle she doesn’t know is already lost).
Though the world is one duck boat smaller
We had an okay day. I left work early so I could pick up Jacob (and allow Erica to work later). The problem, the little guy started coughing as soon as I picked him up.
So tomorrow we have to take him to the doctors office (at about 8am). Erica will take a little time off of work.
I will try to add new Jacob Videos soon.
This week
After returning from MOntreal, Jacob was a bit stuffy. We had a pretty good week overall. Last night we did a little furber method. . . and after 30minutes Jacob went to sleep on his own. (he kind of reset the going to sleep on his own when we went to Montreal).
I will upload Montreal pics and videos this weekend
Trip to Mystic, CT
Erica and I went to Mystic CT. At first, we thought we would stop by Mystic seaport. Once we arrived, ate at Daniel Pecker’s, and walked. . .we decided not to. Mostly because we arrived just in time for the memorial day parade. We also tried the 40min $6.00 tour of Mystic Harbor, which was a lot of fun. Of course, we had to pay for Jacob. . .as he counted as a passenger.
The little guy wouldn’t sleep on the way home, and now he is in bed. So mom and dad are preparing to have some tea, relax, and get ready for a return to work.
